Lesson 2: The Island Strum & New Chords

Master arguably the most useful strum on the ukulele: the Island Strum (D D U U D U). We'll also learn the G and Am chords so we can practice playing our first real song, 'One Day' by Matisyahu.

Take your skills to the next level by learning fingerstyle. Discover proper hand placement (the claw shape), picking patterns, and the Em chord, culminating in learning to play 'Hallelujah'.

Lesson 4: How to Chuck on Ukulele for Absolute Beginners

If you’ve ever wanted to get that percussive, driving, island-style rhythm on your ukulele, this is the perfect place to start. In this lesson, we are mastering "the chuck" or palm mute.
