When I started playing the ukulele, I didn’t know what to buy. Every brand sounded good online, but once I tried them, some didn’t feel right at all. That’s what inspired me to write these reviews. I want to share what it’s really like to play each ukulele, so you can find the one that fits you best.

I play every ukulele I review. I hold it, strum it, and listen to how it sounds in real life. Some are bright and cheerful. Others are deep and mellow. I write exactly what I feel and hear, so you’ll know what to expect before you buy.

I include Kala instruments because they’re part of my journey, but I also review other brands to give you a fair and balanced view of what’s out there.
