No Capo? How to Make a DIY Ukulele Capo Using a Pen!
All right, so let's say that you want to play a song that requires a capo but you don't own one. No worries! All you need is a pen and a couple of rubber bands. Or if you don't have rubber bands, maybe some hair ties will do the trick.
If you don't have a pen lying around, you can easily use a Sharpie marker instead! You're just going to take the pen, grab the rubber bands, and tighten them firmly around the neck of your ukulele.
And now you're completely ready to play any songs that require a capo, like the beautiful classic Someone Like You by Adele! Hope you enjoyed this quick DIY workshop. Next time, we'll have another detailed ukulele tutorial ready for you!

The DIY Capo Setup (Household Hack)
By tightly binding a pen or Sharpie to the fretboard with rubber bands, you generate uniform string pressure across all four strings. This securely alters your instrument's pitch without needing to make a trip to the music store!

What is the model of your Kala ukelele?
It’s the Kala Thinline Travel Soprano Ukulele. They discontinued the Soprano, but you can still get the concert one here: https://amzn.to/3SIBnbu

Great idea!
Thanks! Comes in handy when you're in a pinch. A few weeks ago my capo self-destructed right when I was about to play a song 🤣
