Aloha and welcome back to Ray's Ukulele! Today we're going to be learning how to play "One Day" by Matisyahu.

To play this song, you just need to know four familiar chords that repeat throughout the entire song: C, G, Am, and F. This is a very common chord progression, and you're going to love learning it because you can use it for plenty of other songs!

Strumming Patterns

We'll primarily use the classic Island Strum, but you can mix it up during the chorus!

1. The Island Strum (Verses)

This is your standard strum pattern that you can use through the whole song.

↓ Down ↓ Down ↑ Up ↑ Up ↓ Down ↑ Up

2. The Chucking Strum (Chorus)

When you get to the chorus, you can continue playing the same Island strum, or I like to mix it up and throw in some chucks. (Use the side of your thumb to stop the strings on beats 2 and 4).
